South Carolina: Another Constitutional Carry Bill Being Heard Tomorrow

Gun Rights

Tomorrow, a subcommittee of the Senate Judiciary Committee will hear Senate Bill 109, another constitutional carry bill. While NRA enthusiastically supports constitutional carry, we have concerns about S 109 and feel that it needs a number of amendments compared to House Bill 3594, the constitutional carry bill that passed the House 92-26 with bipartisan support and which is backed by Governor Henry McMaster. It is unknown why the Senate Judiciary Committee is hearing a different constitutional carry bill, while H 3594 has yet to have a preliminary hearing.
