Alabama: Permitless Carry Bill Introduced

Gun Rights

Yesterday, Senator Gerald Allen (R-21) introduced permitless carry legislation. It can be heard in the Senate Judiciary Committee as soon as next week. Please contact committee members and ask them to SUPPORT Senate Bill 5.

Senate Bill 5 allows a law-abiding adult to carry a concealed firearm in Alabama, without first needing to obtain government permission. This ensures that citizens have their right to self-defense without government red tape or delays. Additionally, it maintains the existing pistol permit system, so citizens who still wish to obtain a permit may do so.

Again, please contact committee members and ask them to SUPPORT SB 5.
