Maryland: Anti-Gun Bill Up For A House Floor Vote

Gun Rights

House Bill 824, a gun-control bill that expands gun-free zones while leaving only law-abiding citizens defenseless, will be up for a debate and vote on the House floor tomorrow. Please contact your Delegate NOW and ask them to OPPOSE HB 824, which would place further burdens on law-abiding gun owners and sportsmen!

Some of the more egregious measures in HB 824 are that it doubles the application fees, shrinks the validity period of a carry permit from 3 years down to 2 years and adds more sweeping crimes that make you ineligible for a carry permit. This bill restricts your Second Amendment rights, creates more soft targets, and leaves you vulnerable to violent criminals who will not follow the law.

Again, please contact your Representative today and urge them to OPPOSE HB 824, and all anti-gun measures that will do nothing to reduce violent crime in Maryland, and will only burden law-abiding citizens!
