Gun Control Legislation from Minority Party Continues to Dominate Bill Filings

The 2023 Regular Session of the Texas Legislature convened yesterday and gun control advocates continue to dominate the introduction of new legislation with numerous bills attacking your Second Amendment rights, making their Biden/Beto gun ban agenda crystal clear.

We reported to you on the first day of bill pre-filing back in November that more than two dozen anti-gun bills had been filed. Below is an updated list of restrictive measures that have been filed since then. You can view the text of each bill at Texas Legislature Online – Bill Lookup.

Your NRA-ILA will be monitoring these bills and reporting if and when any are set for committee hearings in the Texas House or Senate. In the meantime, contact your state lawmakers and urge them to OPPOSE these restrictions on law-abiding citizens’ Second Amendment rights!
