Taking the FSS Backpack to the Next Level | New Oil Cloth Backpack

Survival In The Forest
Taking the classic US Forest Service backpack concept to the next level!

In this video, we take a close look at our NEW Oil Cloth Backpack, inspired by the rugged and functional packs once associated with the US Forest Service. This design takes an old-school woodsman’s approach to carrying gear and combines it with the durability, weather resistance, and versatility of traditional oil cloth.

We’ll look at the inspiration behind the pack, its construction and features, how it carries, and why this style of backpack still makes sense for bushcraft, camping, woods work, trapping, hunting, and traditional outdoor skills.

One of the things I enjoy most about older outdoor equipment is that it was generally designed around simplicity and function. The goal with this pack was to preserve that traditional character while taking the concept to the next level for today’s woodsman.
