A bank robbery suspect is in serious condition after being shot by police officers in Covington, Kentucky, on Friday afternoon. The incident occurred around 3 p.m. when officers responded to an armed robbery at a U.S. Bank and spotted a man fitting the suspect’s description nearby.
During the attempt to detain the suspect, gunfire erupted, leaving the man injured. He was subsequently transported to a local hospital for treatment. The two officers involved in the shooting have been placed on administrative leave as investigations continue into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
