President Donald Trump‘s FBI nominee Kash Patel had a flurry of close friends and family gathered in the front row of his Senate confirmation hearing last week.
Among the supporters was Alina Habba, Trump’s lawyer turned top advisor; Special Presidential Envoy for Special Missions Ric Grenell; Patel’s parents, who traveled all the way from India for the hearing; and the nominee’s sister.
But there was also a glamorous mystery woman seated behind Patel in the show of support, who has now been revealed to be his girlfriend – country music artist Alexis Wilkins.
Patel, 44, met Wilkins, 26, at a conservative ReAwaken America event in October 2022, an insider told DailyMail.com. They started dating just a few months later, in January 2023.
This came to the dismay of MAGA internet users as online searches about whether Patel was single spiked during his confirmation hearing on Thursday.
While Patel, who has faced scrutiny from both Republicans and Democrats, has never been married, he has been with Wilkins for over two years now and they appear serious about continuing their relationship.
The pair is making the move to Washington, D.C., together, DailyMail.com can exclusively reveal.
Although Wilkins doesn’t plan to hang up her cowgirl hat and microphone, she took a job on Capitol Hill working as press secretary for Rep. Abe Hamadeh (R-Ariz.).

Wilkins plans to keep her home in Nashville, but also took a job as press secretary for Rep. Abe Hamadeh (R-Ariz.) as she make the move to the swamp
Despite her new role in the Senate, Wilkins plans to travel between D.C. and Nashville. She’s also planning to keep her place in the city at the hear of the country music scene.
Wilkins was mostly raised in Arkansas, but lived during her childhood in England and Switzerland.
She is a Nashville-based country music artist who has opened for God Bless the U.S.A. singer Lee Greenwood – one of Trump’s favorites – and Sara Evans on her tour.
She also has opened for other artists, including Joe Nichols, Aaron Lewis, Curtis Grimes and RaeLynn.
As an independent musical artist, Wilkins was able to land her Veteran’s Day single Stand and her debut EP Grit in the top ten on iTunes.
She works with Warrior Rounds, which is a group that writes songs with veterans to benefit the community, but she remains unsigned to a record label.
It’s obvious from her work that veterans’ causes are close to Wilkins’ heart.
The singer/songwriter has performed for patients at Veterans Affairs (VA) hospitals and her project Stand is aimed at benefiting veterans.
