Kyle Rittenhouse’s Fight With Republican Lawmaker Heats Up — With Kyle Continuing to Make a Fool of Himself

Gun Rights

So it appears that Kyle Rittenhouse has gotten himself into a little spat with one of his fellow Republicans who is promoting sensible AR-15-style gun control laws. Apparently, Kyliepoo doesn’t like this. Rittenhouse, who killed two men with the aforementioned gun and was subsequently acquitted of the killings, is all up in his feels because Texas state Representative Justin Holland (R) is pushing legislation that would raise the age when people can buy the semi-automatic AR-15 rifle from 18 to 21 in Texas.

Naturally, Rittenhouse, infamous for fatally shooting two men and injuring a third after traveling from his Illinois home, armed with an AR-15 style rifle to Kenosha, Wisconsin, where Black Lives Matter activists were protesting racial injustice, definitely dislikes Holland’s proposal, Newsweek reports. So he attacked Holland on X which resulted in Holland blocking him on the platform and even at one point saying he didn’t know who Rittenhouse is. And Rittenhouse apparently doesn’t care that he’s blocked because he’s back to attacking Holland anyway.

I’m guessing Holland finds him annoying. Kind of in the same way that a mosquito keeps buzzing around your face and won’t quit until you swat it or bring out the insect repellant.

But Rittenhouse, who was acquitted in 2021 of homicide and the other charges he was dealing with after asserting he acted in self-defense, has become the darling of the ammosexual set and other right-wing causes. And of course he’s a gun-rights activist.

The whole shebang began after Rittenhouse posted a video on X that showed Holland explaining, at a campaign event, why he believes the law should be changed. He insisted he was “not a gun grabber.

“I am not trying to go after your Second Amendment rights,” he told people at the event.

Rittenhouse didn’t care for this sentiment and posted: “Rep. Holland (you blocked me so I can’t tag you) your first problem with this statement is ‘a perfect vote record with the nra.’ The second problem is that if you can go off to war or enlist in the military you should be allowed to own a AR-15 or any other gun,” he sniped.

Holland, inadvertently or otherwise, threw fuel on the fire when he appeared on the Rock 30 podcast after he was asked about Rittenhouse, and he replied: “Who is Kyle Rittenhouse?”

This led to the exchange being shared with the Texas Gun Rights group, which then voiced outrage on X.

“@justinaholland pretends to not know who@ThisIsKyleR is. Holland is desperate, scared, and playing dumb to try and hide from his Anti-Gunowner voting record!” it captioned the post.

Of course, Rittenhouse, who is full of his own self-importance responded to the post with a screenshot that showed Holland’s account had blocked him.

In the video that shows Holland speaking at the campaign, he explains that he thinks “there is a conversation to be had in the state of Texas, in this country, because our priorities are our communities and our priorities are our children in schools and I do believe that if you can’t buy a handgun until you’re 21, you can’t smoke cigarettes until you’re 21 and you can’t drink beer until you’re 21 [then] we can have a conversation about whether an 18-year-old should be able to go out and buy an AR-15.”

Of course, this rubs Rittenhouse the wrong way. I mean, after all, since he was only 17 when he killed the two men, it was illegal for him to have the gun in the first place. He’s a grown man now but still a spoiled brat. He’s got hurty fee-fees because Holland didn’t know who he was and because he thinks every teenager should be able to own an AR-15, even if they are perhaps going to become the next Adam Lanza.

Holland is right on the money here, but his proposal should go further—Rittenhouse obtained his AR-15-style rifle as part of a straw purchase, which is, according to Don’tLieForTheOtherGuy, “is an illegal firearm purchase where the actual buyer of the gun, being unable to pass the required federal background check or desiring to not have his or her name associated with the transaction, uses a proxy buyer who can pass the required background check to purchase the firearm for him/her. It is highly illegal and punishable by a $250,000 fine and 15 years in prison.”

I don’t know how these regulations can be tightened up. I only know that if a friend hadn’t bought the gun for Rittenhouse, Joseph Rosenbaum, and Anthony Huber, the two men he killed, would still be alive today.

Just a little food for thought.
