Nebraska: 2023 Legislative Session Convenes Today

Gun Rights

Today, January 4th, the Nebraska Legislature begins the 2023 legislative session. As in 2022, the Legislature can expect to see both pro and anti-gun bills introduced this year. Constitutional Carry is currently in 25 states. This year, Nebraska has the chance to be the 26th state.  Senator Tom Brewer is leading the way and introducing a bill that recognizes the constitutional right of law-abiding citizens to carry a firearm for self-defense without first obtaining government permission. Please use the link below to contact your Senator and ask them to co-sponsor Nebraska’s Constitutional Carry bill.

This important legislation ensures that citizens are able to exercise their right to self-defense without government red tape or delays.  Gun owners and sportsmen throughout the state must stay actively involved to defend freedom. Your NRA will continue to fight to promote and protect your right to keep and bear arms and hunting heritage.
