The Bio-Lite Wood Burning Camp Stove is a pretty cool piece of gear for survival (or just plain old camping). Not only does it allow you to cook your meals or boil water using a very small amount of wood; it also will charge your cell phone.
It’s not at all low budget, at around $140 or so, but it is very versatile and might be a great addition to your kit.
