Tennessee: General Assembly Adjourns Sine Die from 2023-2024 Session

Gun Rights

Last night, the Tennessee General Assembly adjourned sine die from its 2023-2024 legislative session with all anti-gun bills being defeated. Additionally, the General Assembly passed SB 2223/HB 2762, which prohibits the use of firearm/ammunition specific merchant category codes by payment processors. This is an important protection for gun owners, protecting private purchasing information from abuse by third parties. Governor Lee signed this legislation on Wednesday, April 24.

NRA will be back in Nashville for the 2025 session. Meanwhile, please stay tuned to www.nraila.org and your email inbox for further updates on issues affecting our Second Amendment rights and hunting heritage in Tennessee.
