Donald Trump pledged to defend the “God-given rights” of Americans to bear arms as he received the endorsement of the National Rifle Association, the country’s most influential gun rights group.
Trump urged “rebellious” gun owners to vote for him despite their reputation for shunning elections, after being hailed by the NRA as the most pro-gun rights president in modern history.
President Biden has vowed to try again to renew the assault weapons ban that lasted for ten years from 1994, which prevented the manufacture or sale of certain semi-automatic guns and also outlawed magazines of ten or more bullets.
