Colorado: School Employee Carry Ban Dies in Committee and Semi-Auto Ban Vote Today

In a win for the residents of Colorado, HB24-1310 the ban on school employees carrying on school grounds, was tabled by the committee for the rest of this session. This legislation would have ended the very successful FASTER Colorado program and would have banned carry on college campuses. The fight continues as HB24-1292, the so called “assault weapons” ban, is scheduled for a vote today on the House floor.

In the Senate, gun control extremists advanced two anti-gun bills out of committee, HB24-1174 increasing training requirements for CCW holders and HB24-1348 expanding mandatory storage requirements. Both bills will now be eligible for votes on the Senate floor.
