Former presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy will headline a Republican Party event in Hamilton County in May.

Ramaswamy is scheduled as the featured speaker at the Hamilton County Republican Party’s Lincoln Day Dinner in Noblesville on May 2, just days before the state’s 2024 primary election. In addition to the dinner, the event will include a VIP reception with photo opportunities, according to a news release.

Ramaswamy, the Ohio businessman, ended his presidential campaign in January when he pledged his support for former President Donald Trump, but not before he drew attention on the campaign trail, the debate stage and the internet for his political positions, attacks on opponents and championing of “anti-woke” policies.

In a news release, the Hamilton County Republican Party said Ramaswamy’s spot at the May event “underscores his significant influence within conservative circles.”

“Vivek Ramaswamy’s insights and leadership have been instrumental in shaping conservative discourse on critical issues facing our nation,” Mario Massillamany, the county party chairman, said in the release.

Ramaswamy last visited central Indiana for the 2023 National Rifle Association convention.
