Ascension GOP Roundtable March 20
Cole Myers, the Texas and Louisiana grassroots coordinator for the National Rifle Association-Institute for Legislative Action, is the speaker for the March 20 Ascension GOP Roundtable.
The roundtable, sponsored by Ascension Republican Women, starts at 11:30 a.m. at the Clarion Inn, 1500 W. La. 30 in Gonzales.
A graduate of Purdue University with a degree in organizational management and political science, Myers marks one year with the NRA in May. Cost for the lunch is $30. La. 621 farmers market opens Spring
The Spring farmers market is now open on La. 621.
The market includes fresh produce and other local vendors selling their wares.
The market is held from 8 a.m. to noon.
Leadership Ascension’s Work of Arc plans event
On Thursday, the Work of Arc, a Leadership Ascension Team, will host its Cocktails & Contracts happy hour social to assist the Arc of East Ascension in obtaining more contracts to employ their participants through its shredding and janitorial services.
The happy hour service project will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Gonzales Civic Center.
The group’s goal is to spread the word, in the Ascension Parish and neighboring business communities, about the Arc’s shredding and janitorial services.
