New Hampshire: Red Flag Bill Hearing Thursday

Gun Rights

On Thursday, January 25th the Senate Judiciary Committee will be holding a public hearing on SB 360-FN, “an act relative to extreme risk protection orders.” This bill seeks to implement Red Flag laws in the Granite State. The public hearing will begin at 1:00 PM in Room 100, located in the State House. NRA members and Second Amendment supporters are invited to attend and participate in the public hearings.

Please contact committee members now and ask them to OPPOSE ALL anti-gun measures that would place further burdens on law-abiding gun owners and sportsmen!

SB 360- FN would implement “Red Flag” laws in New Hampshire that permit the government to seize firearms based on weak and nebulous standards of evidence. If passed, this bill would implement ex-parte hearings that would suspend an individual’s Second Amendment rights without due process. In addition to violating due process, this bill would also require individuals to petition the court for the return of their property once the order has been vacated.
