Gun Rights

On Tuesday, January 23rd, the House Committee on Federal and State Affairs will be holding a hearing at 9:00 am CST on HCR 5020, an amendment to the Kansas State Constitution. HCR 5020 would clarify that the existing constitutional right would also include firearm components, accessories, ammunition, and any future restrictions enacted would be subject to strict scrutiny. Contact committee members today and ask them to SUPPORT HCR 5020!

Once approved by the State Legislature, the proposed amendment will be brought before the voters of Kansas for a popular vote during the general election in November of 2024. Again, please contact committee members and urge their support of HCR 5020!
