Maine: Start of Second Regular Legislative Session

Gun Rights

The Second Regular Session of the 131st Maine Legislature kicks off today, January 3rd. The NRA is anticipating an aggressive gun-control agenda this session. All NRA members and Second Amendment supporters are strongly encouraged to contact their lawmakers NOW and ask them to OPPOSE any anti-gun measures that would place further burdens on law-abiding gun owners and sportsmen.

In recent months, anti-gun groups have doubled down on their extreme agenda in Maine. These groups are demanding that Maine institute a slew of failed cookie-cutter anti-gun measures including 72-hour waiting periods, magazine bans, banning commonly owned firearms, and more. The NRA will be in the halls of the Augusta State House fighting for your Second Amendment rights, but to defeat these anti-gun bills, we need supporters like YOU to make their voices heard.
