Rep. Lauren Boebert, R-Colo., on Wednesday offered “prayers” for the people of Lewiston, Maine, following a deadly mass shooting at a bowling alley and restaurant, that has left at least 16 people dead and dozens others injured.

“Sending prayers to Lewistown, Maine tonight,” Boebert said in a post on X. “Know that the entire country is praying for you.”

Boebert’s post quickly received backlash from gun control activist and survivor of the 2018 Majorie Stoneman Douglas High School shooting, David Hogg, who slammed the Colorado Republican for her party’s gun rights platform.

“But house republican won’t do a f—–g thing about it,” Hogg posted in a reply.
