FIRED UP: Targeted Groups Blast DHS for Weaponizing Tax Dollars Against Americans

Gun Rights

Targeted groups and individuals were fired up over MRC Free Speech America’s bombshell report exposing President Joe Biden’s Department of Homeland Security for weaponizing tax dollars against Americans.

MRC Free Speech America exclusively obtained documents through its Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) project that unveiled a DHS scheme to use its “Targeted Violence & Terrorism Prevention Grant Program” (TVTP) to go after conservatives, Christians and the Republican Party. DHS funding financed “media literacy and online critical thinking initiatives” and other so-called training seminars as part of a coordinated effort to effectively transform America into a one-party state. In the most egregious case discovered to date, DHS awarded the University of Dayton $352,109 to establish the PREVENTS-OH program, which pledged to “draw on the expertise of the University of Dayton faculty” to fight “domestic violence extremism and hate movements.”

A pyramid chart was used to associate groups like Fox News, Breitbart, the National Rifle Association, the American Conservative Union, the Christian Broadcasting Network, Heritage Foundation, Tea Party Patriots, PragerU and the Republican National Committee with neo-Nazi and other radical groups.

Legislators, conservative leaders and targeted groups threw down the gauntlet and blasted the DHS for its nefarious gambit to turn Americans’ own taxpayer dollars against them to compare half of America with neo-Nazis.

GOP senators, House members and the RNC didn’t hold back. By the DHS giving taxpayer money to a group associating the RNC with Nazis, every senator, congressman and voter associated with the GOP was effectively targeted. The RNC stated in a tweet that “Americans deserve answers” and called out the DHS for not turning away the University of Dayton’s application for funds once it became aware of the disgusting content entailed within the PREVENTS-OH program. “Was smearing tens of millions of Americans not a deal breaker? Or was that part of the reason?” the RNC asked in its tweet.

“Comple[tely] disgraceful. The Biden admin’s weaponization of government to target conservatives is profoundly dangerous,” rebuked Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) on Twitter. Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) stated that this is just another case in the long, sad history of bloated governments running amok: “This is why big government’s so dangerous.” Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) called on DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas to “resign” and ripped the Biden administration for “focus[ing more] on giving your tax dollars to programs that attack Christians and conservatives” than “securing the border.” Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) echoed Scott in pointing out the Biden administration’s twisting of priorities to “target conservatives.”

Congressman Bob Good (R-VA) called for Biden and his lackeys to be held “accountable” and called “The weaponization of the federal government against religious” conservatives “illegal and unconstitutional.” The House Judiciary GOP account had a one-word response for the DHS actions: “Wow.”

Chairman of the House Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government Jim Jordan (R-OH)  joined Fox Business’ Mornings with Maria to break down MRC Free Speech America’s findings. Jordan called the revelation “really scary,” but “frankly, consistent,” with the seemingly non-stop reports of government corruption and weaponization.

Other groups and leaders released statements condemning the DHS and called for action.

Tea Party Patriots co-founder Jenny Beth Martin didn’t mince words in her statement on MRC Free Speech America’s findings: “To have DHS funds be in an anti-terrorism program that links us to Nazis and puts us on a ‘pyramid of far-right radicalization’ is offensive & disgraceful.” She called for Mayorkas to be impeached over the scandal:

Prior to today’s revelations, we had called for Secretary Mayorkas to be impeached because of his willful refusal to enforce our immigration laws, causing the historic crisis on our southern border. Today, we are once again demanding that Secretary Mayorkas be impeached and for DHS to return to its original mission of protecting our country, instead of trying to intimidate conservative Americans.

ACU Chairman Matt Schlapp tweeted that he was “appalled” by the DHS and how it used taxpayer funds to target “conservative voices” and analyzed that this was “another reason the House Republican Majority must begin hearings to ascertain the level of treachery from the Biden Regime.”

The Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts called attention to the MRC Free Speech America report in a tweet and blasted Biden and the DHS turning an anti-terrorist program against Americans as “Despicable.”

The NRA called the MRC Free Speech America report a “BOMBSHELL” and lambasted the DHS efforts to cast protecting the Second Amendment as having any sort of degree of parity with terrorism:

Your tax dollars, under the Biden Admin, are now supporting a college program that labels the NRA & conservative groups as extremists, on par with Nazis. This outrageous misuse of public funds was exposed by @theMRC. Protecting 2A isn’t terrorism, it’s patriotism.

Conservatives, Christians and the Republican Party are clearly not taking this egregious attack by the federal government sitting down. As the Pearl Harbor attack mastermind and Japanese Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto stated in 1941: “I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve.”

Conservatives are under attack. Contact your representatives and demand that the DHS be held to account to obey the First Amendment, and demand that Big Tech be held to account to mirror the First Amendment while providing transparency, clarity on so-called hate speech and equal footing for conservatives. If you have been censored by Big Tech, contact us using CensorTrack’s contact form, and help us hold Big Tech accountable.
