Kellyanne Conway’s Daughter Lashes Out at Tucker Carlson and It’s Simply Beautiful (and 100% All True)

Gun Rights

Tucker Carlson is obsessed with transgender people. And as more information about the Nashville school shooting, it’s become obvious that he’s not obsessed in a good way. This has not been lost on Claudia Conway, who’s absolutely shredded him over his continued focus on Audrey Hale, the shooter in question, who identifies as male although she was born female.

Three nine-year-old children and three adults were killed after Hale burst into the Covenant School, a private Christian elementary school carrying two assault-style rifles and a handgun, and began shooting, Newsweek reports.

Carlson reacted to the shooting by warning his Fox News viewers Tuesday that the “trans movement is targeting Christians” because they are “its natural enemy.”

And folks, this is how hate begins. How it spreads like a toxic flower. By spreading lies that have no basis in reality.

Carlson then went on to say transgenderism is turning “militant and possibly” dangerous, claiming the movement is focusing its anger “specifically at traditional Christians.” Carlson then said his “fears [of the trans community] were confirmed” on Monday after the Nashville shootings.

Police have since confirmed that Hale, who was killed at the scene, was born female at birth but used he/him pronouns. Authorities revealed they have found a manifesto, but the shooter’s motives are still unclear at this time. And Carlson has used this to fearmonger and spread potential misinformation by saying the manifesto is being kept secret to conceal an obvious and undeniable” targeting of Christians. Police, however, think that Hale, who previously attended the school, targeted it due to some form of personal resentment.

So it’s completely understandable that Claudia Conway, who came out as gay last year, is enraged at Carlson’s inflammatory comments. In a series of Twitter posts, she called out his irrational focus on gender identity. And she goes on to say what so many of us are thinking.

“Who the f**k cares how someone identifies when THEY’VE SHOT UP AN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, like why are we focused on the wrong things??? Our children are being shot down in school and Tucker Carlson wants to blame transgender people?????? What????”

Claudia, whose mother was a senior White House counselor to former President Donald Trump, and is now a contributor for Fox News, went on to say there are more pressing issues surrounding this tragedy that should receive attention.

“You’re not going to like this but the topics of conversation circulating SHOULD NOT revolve around the shooter’s identity but rather how the shooter so easily acquire weapons that left 9-year-olds breathless,” she posted.

But really, avoiding the issue of gun accessibility or effective gun control measures, Republicans almost always pivot away from this important issue. They must know their “thoughts and prayers” do nothing but they have not offered anything of any value to this conversation.

“No one is arguing the mental status of the shooter, however it’s not right to immediately attribute those mental maladies to being transgender considering the statistics we have for mass shooters in America,” Claudia tweeted.

Then she shared a link to the Instagram page of an organization she began working with after last year’s shooting in Uvalde, Texas, and the overturning of Roe v. Wade.

And she went on to add:

“Drag queens aren’t killing our children,” her post read. “Curriculum including black history isn’t killing our children. LGBTQ+ media isn’t killing our childrens. Guns are.”

Republicans typically parrot Carlson’s sentiments and this is tragic because trans people face horrific levels of outright hate and violence in the U.S. and across the world, according to numerous studies and polls.

Data from the National Archive of Criminal Justice Data and the Inter-University Consortium for Political and Social Research, LGBTQ+ people are more than twice as likely to be victims of gun violence than people who are cisgender or straight.

Newsweek reminds us that hundreds of mass shootings that have occurred in the U.S. during the past few years have been committed by cisgender, straight white males. Everytown for Gun Safety, a nonprofit group that advocates gun control reports there have been more than 300 mass shootings in the U.S. since 2009. Less than one percent of the perpetrators in these shootings have identified as non-binary or trans.

I’m glad that Claudia Conway is speaking out on this. I love her fiery, speak-out-on-whatever-the-hell-she-wants personality. Republicans need to find their b*lls (if they have any) and quit pandering to the NRA and gun manufacturers because “thoughts and prayers” ain’t gonna fix the problem.
