Gun Rights

Tomorrow, the Kansas House will debate and vote on HB 2304, a bill that expands access and standardizes firearm safety education for schools.  HB 2304 passed out of the House Committee on Federal and State Affairs last week. As reported, the Senate companion bill, Senate Bill 116, passed the Senate and advanced to the House. Firearm safety education helps promote responsible gun ownership by teaching students to be aware of the potential dangers of firearms. Please use the link below to contact your representative today and ask them to please support HB 2304!

House Bill 2304 establishes grade-appropriate curricula guidelines to teach firearm safety to students of all ages. It is based on NRA’s Eddie Eagle GunSafe® program and the Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks & Tourism’s existing Hunter Education In Our Schools.

NRA’s Eddie Eagle GunSafe Program has been teaching firearm-accident prevention for over 30 years, to help keep our children safe. As a result, the program has reached over 32 million children in all 50 states, plus Canada and Puerto Rico.
