Gun owners can be certain “red flag” laws will be abused. While “red flag” extreme risk protection orders may seem like a good idea on paper, they have been proven to be ineffective and unconstitutional. They can lead to the violation of citizens’ rights. Therefore, alternative solutions should be considered to address the issue at hand.
