Minnesota: Your Action Needed to Add Important Funding Language to Omnibus Bill

Gun Rights

The Senate Environment and Natural Resources Finance Committee could soon consider the language of Senate File 4098 and Senate File 3162 to be added to an omnibus bill for passage.  Please contact committee members and ask them to include SF 4098 and SF 3162 in an omnibus bill.

Senate File 4098 adds $150,000 extra for shooting sports facility grants.  This measure would increase the amount of funding provided from the Game and Fish fund to be used for development and maintenance of shooting and archery facilities in Minnesota.

Senate File 3162 appropriates an ongoing annual $5 million, starting in 2022, for creating a grant program to increase firearm safety, trap shooting, archery, hunting, and angling activities in physical education courses in Minnesota school districts.
