Alabama: Constitutional Carry Vote Possible This Week

Gun Rights

House Bill 272, the constitutional carry bill, may come up on the House floor as early as this week. Sheriffs and members of leadership across the state are speaking out in favor of constitutional carry. Now, it is critical that all law-abiding gun owners ask their state representatives to do the same.

In order for constitutional carry to advance, the House needs to first approve a budget isolation resolution (BIR). Please contact your state representative and ask them to SUPPORT a BIR for HB 272. A vote against the BIR may as well be a vote against constitutional carry.

The NRA deeply thanks Chairman Mike Jones, Lawrence County Sheriff Sanders, Limestone County Sheriff McLaughlin, Cullman County Sheriff Gentry, and Deputy Balentine for stepping up for law abiding gun owners in Alabama!
