Minnesota: Legislature Adjourned from Special Session

Gun Rights

Last week, the Minnesota Legislature adjourned from its 2021 Special Session having passed the Environment Omnibus legislation and no anti-gun measures.  The Environment Omnibus bill includes $900,000 for the “No Child Left Inside” program which can include grants to schools for gun/hunter safety training, and $400,000 for improvements to gun ranges.

Special thanks to Senate Majority Leader Paul Gazelka for leading the way over the last five years in defeating all gun control measures, including gun confiscation “red flag” laws and “universal” background checks.  Also, thank you to those legislators who opposed those anti-gun measures and supported the Environment Omnibus bill.
