Virginia: Gov Northam Appoints Anti-Gun Lobbyist to Crime Commission

Gun Rights

Yesterday, Governor Ralph Northam announced a trio of appointments to the Virginia State Crime Commission, including Norfolk Police Chief Larry Boone and Lori Haas, Virginia State Director for a national gun ban group called the “Coalition to Stop Gun Violence.”

Haas, a registered lobbyist for a group originally named “National Coalition to Ban Handguns,” has pushed an extremist agenda for decades opposing the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding citizens in all aspects. In April, Haas appeared on the podcast Transition Virginia, calling for gun bans and threatening to end Virginia’s conceal carry program. Having an anti-gun lobbyist serving on a legislative commission is Gov. Northam’s latest step in the continued assault on the Second Amendment in Virginia.

It is critical that Second Amendment supporters remain vigilant. Please stay tuned to www.nraila.org and your email inbox for further updates.
