Virginia: Indoor Ranges to Reopen

Gun Rights

On Friday, May 8th, Governor Ralph Northam issued Executive Order 61 outlining “Phase One” of easing restrictions that were put into place to address the COVID-19 crisis. Indoor shooting ranges will be permitted to reopen on Friday, May 15th, with certain requirements on occupancy, physical distancing, face coverings, and sanitation. Please check with your indoor range or local authorities for announcements on their procedures for reopening.

The original provisions in Executive Order 53 closed down indoor shooting ranges along with other “recreational and entertainment businesses” from March 24th through April 23rd. The order was then amended to extend this restriction through May 14th.
