Maine: House to Vote on Anti-Shooting Range Bill

Gun Rights

Tomorrow, the Maine House is scheduled to vote on Legislative Document 1000, which would establish a firearm range safety group within the Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife. This legislation is the first step in undermining Maine’s strong range protection laws. Please contact your State Representative and ask them to OPPOSE LD 1000.

LD 1000 directs the Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife to establish a working group to review firearm range safety and access to firearm safety information in the State. This legislation is the first step towards rolling back important shooting range protection laws in Maine. Shooting ranges provide a safe environment for law-abiding individuals to learn, practice, and train. They should not be regulated out of existence.

Again, please contact your State Representative and ask them to OPPOSE LD 1000!
