South Dakota: Legislature Adjourns Sine Die from 2023 Session

Gun Rights

Yesterday, the South Dakota Legislature adjourned sine die from its 2023 legislative session.  Governor Kristi Noem signed Senate Bill 98, a bill that removes the requirement to be re-fingerprinted for the renewal of the enhanced permit to carry, into law.  She has never wavered in defending the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding citizens in the Mount Rushmore state.

NRA thanks Governor Kristi Noem for signing this important pro-Second Amendment measure into law, Senator Jim Stalzer, who introduced SB 98, Representative Brandei Schaefbauer, and the legislators who voted to support it.  Further, NRA thanks its Members and Second Amendment supporters who contacted their lawmakers to support SB 98.

NRA will be back in Pierre for the next legislative session and will continue to work to preserve the Second Amendment rights of all law-abiding citizens. Please stay tuned to www.nraila.org and your email inbox for further updates.
