Alleged Robber Killed During Home Invasion in Texas

A 23-year-old man, identified as David Perez, died in a Bay City apartment after allegedly committing multiple armed robberies and attempting a home invasion. The incident unfolded on February 13 when Perez, reportedly armed, stole a vehicle and robbed another individual before forcing his way into an apartment, where he was shot by the resident. Police found Perez deceased at the scene shortly after receiving multiple calls about the gunfire.

Officials have stated that the case will be presented to a grand jury to determine if the resident should face any charges related to the shooting. This incident raises questions about self-defense rights and the repercussions for individuals confronting armed suspects in their homes. Police are actively investigating and seek additional information from anyone who may have witnessed the events.
