Ohio: Take Action and Support Prohibition of Firearm Liability Insurance Today!

Gun Rights

On Tuesday, December 10th, the House Insurance Committee will hold a public hearing on SB 58, a bill to prohibit the state from requiring fees or firearms liability insurance for the possession of firearms. Please use the take action button below to tell the committee to support SB 58.

Mandating that law-abiding gun owners purchase firearms liability insurance is an unnecessary financial burden that infringes upon a constitutionally protected right. Forcing gun owners to incur additional fees on top of the already expensive costs of purchasing and maintaining firearms will only make it more difficult for good people to defend themselves and their families. Furthermore, liability insurance will never cover criminal acts, and those who break the law are already liable through our justice system. Please encourage your friends, family, and other Second Amendment advocates to tell committee members to support SB 58.

Please stay tuned to the NRA-ILA website and your inbox for updates as this legislation progresses.
