Arkansas House District 41
Tom Nowlin and Alyssa Brown are competing to represent District 41—an empty seat since Republican incumbent Josh Miller declined to run for reelection.
Tom Nowlin (D)
Tom Nowlin is a U.S. Navy veteran and an ordained Southern Baptist minister. He has advanced degrees in divinity and leadership. He works for Petit Jean Electric Cooperative and operates a family farm.
“For me, being pro-life involves more than simply advocating for birth; it means, from the womb to the tomb, being committed to the success of every individual’s pursuit of the American dream… with access to quality education, healthcare, and economic opportunities,” he says on his campaign website. “I find that the Republican focus on pro-birth often lacks attention to these crucial aspects.”
“I am pro-Second Amendment,” he says. “People kill, not guns. To make Arkansas safer, we need to enforce the gun laws on the books.”
Alyssa Brown (R)
“Alyssa Brown is the Conservative Republican running for the House of Representatives District 41 and is the ONLY candidate in the race endorsed by BOTH the Arkansas Right to Life AND the NRA,” her campaign Facebook page says.
“Men do not belong in women’s sports or private spaces. In America and Arkansas we will fight to put the safety of our girls above a radical left agenda,” reads a graphic posted to the page.
Another graphic on her Instagram page says “Gen-Z for Congress.”
The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reported that she is the owner of an online clothing boutique.
