Lawyers for gun owners and state each seek to limit testimony for Harney County trial on Oregon’s gun control Measure 114

Gun Rights

Lawyers for gun owners seeking to invalidate Oregon’s voter-approved gun control Measure 114 and the state’s attorney general defending the regulations are separately urging a judge to limit testimony in an upcoming trial.

The gun owners want the judge to bar testimony from a trauma surgeon about treating gunshot victims and prevent any family member who has lost a loved one in a shooting from taking the witness stand. They also want to exclude any talk about how infrequently people fire three rounds or more in self-defense shootings.
