Gun Rights

As expected, the veto override is scheduled in the Senate tomorrow, March 28 for Senate Bill 41, a bill that recognizes law-abiding citizens’ right to self-defense while attending a church with a school attached and also repeals the redundant permit-to-purchase system

The veto override would not be possible without the bipartisan support SB 41 received. SB 41 strengthens our state’s commitment to the fundamental right to self-defense and to make our churches and schools safer.

Anti-gunners around North Carolina and gun-grabbing groups have been targeting these members for standing up for the Second Amendment. Gov. Cooper’s veto has shown law-abiding gun owners another reason why they must always be ready to vote to elect officials who will work to protect their rights.
