Virginia: 2023 Legislative Session Convenes Today

Gun Rights

Today, January 11th, the Virginia Legislature begins the 2023 legislative session. The Legislature can expect to see both pro and anti-gun bills introduced this year. Similar to the 2022 legislative session, it will be difficult to advance Second Amendment rights for Virginians with an anti-gun Senate and a pro-gun House. Gun owners and sportsmen throughout the state must stay actively involved to defend freedom.

Your NRA will continue to fight to promote and protect your right to keep and bear arms and hunting heritage. Our members remain the most powerful political force in American history, and together, we will secure the Second Amendment for present and future generations.
