Massachusetts: Join NRA and GOAL for a Lobby Day on Wednesday

Gun Rights

On Wednesday, July 27th, the National Rifle Association, in association with the Gun Owners Action League, will host a Lobby Day at the State House in Boston. Your presence is requested to communicate to your state legislators that you support HD.5245, which brings Massachusetts’ law into compliance with the historic ruling by the U.S. Supreme Court in New York State Rifle & Pistol Assoc. v. Bruen on June 23rd.

Your active support is needed more than ever! Just last week, the House passed Amendment 13, cutting the length of a valid carry permit in half. The current legislative session ends on July 31st, 2022. NRA is committed to partnering with GOAL to fight for our Second Amendment rights in the Commonwealth!

HD.5245 brings Massachusetts’ law into compliance with the U.S. Supreme Court, which struck down the “may-issue” approach to handgun permitting, as seen in Massachusetts. This legislation ensures that law-abiding citizens with ordinary self-defense needs have the fundamental right to keep and bear arms in the Commonwealth.

Details for the Lobby Day:
Date: Wednesday, July 27
Time: 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Where: 24 Beacon Street in Boston
