Washington: House Sends Anti-Gun “Ghost Gun” Measure to the Senate

Gun Rights

Last week, the Washington house passed “ghost gun” legislation, House Bill 1705.  The measure now heads to the Senate where it has been referred to the Senate Law and Justice Committee.  Please contact committee members and ask them to OPPOSE House Bill 1705.

“GHOST GUNS” BAN - HB 1705 further restricts the centuries-old practice of manufacturing firearms for personal use and self-defense by imposing requirements that far exceed those in federal law.  It seeks to prohibit private individuals from possessing certain unregulated components commonly-used by hobbyists to make their own firearms, as well as possessing currently legal firearms that don’t have serial numbers.

Again, please contact members of the Senate Law and Public Safety Committee and ask them to OPPOSE House Bill 1705.
