Jackery Explorer 1500

Forward : One thing that I really dislike about YT is that there are so many channels out there which review products such a this Jackery and it is obvious that most of them haven’t actually tested it out. They opened a box, go over the stats and tell you to buy it…

I refuse to do that.

I’m been testing this product out for months, I’ve taken it around the country and in fact, I have over 4,000 miles of use with this device already and it has powered my dometic fridge for weeks at at time, I’ve solar charged it, I’m DC charged it, I’ve AC charged it, I’ve charged batteries, laptops, phones, used it to power electric blankets, toasters, hair driers and more.

Pros :
Excellent quality – I’ve had no issues with this device; it has always worked flawlessly with no errors nor problems

3 standard PURE SINE WAVE AC outlets
Multiple ways to charge – Wall, DC, Solar

Excellent value especially when compared to building your own system with equivalent quality components.

Power Levels is in percentages and not bars; bars are absolutely pointless and will get you into trouble as you will never be able to know exactly how much power you have left. Also, you won’t be able to determine how much power something that you plug in is being used.

1500w limit is great for running multiple items and appliances all at once and for running appliances that are under 1500w range.

Excellent Warranty – easy to contact the company via their web site and also via phone. Not all companies who make and sell power stations provide a phone number to call.

Quad panel solar is possible

Excellent Charging times
-Dual ac charging bricks can be used for very fast charge times.

DC charging works very well – not all power stations can be charged on 12 DC power.

Two Independent charging controller ports

Good weight : While not lightweight it isn’t overly heavy considering the power that it offers.

Quiet operation in most cases unless using a high draw device; that is the only time that I have heard the fans spin up.

Simple power solution for those who don’t want to mess with a dual battery system.

Excellent battery life : 8 years is possible with average use

Cons :
Input and output times are slow to present on the screen

Limited on USB ports

I wish the AC ports were spaced further apart as some chargers plugs can be rather wide.

Summary :
Without a doubt, the Jackery brand is the one Power Station Brand that I can easily recommend as it checks off all of the boxes for what I feel makes an excellent power station.

These devices are incredibly versatile when it comes to use cases and for overlanding, car camping, and rving, super simple to use and you don’t have to worry about complicated power builds. You can move it when needed, you can charge it in numerous ways.
