xABC 27 reports the surge in gun sales has affected the fight over gun control in Pennsylvania. https://www.abc27.com/news/local/surge-in-sales-adds-new-layer-to-pennsylvania-gun-control-debate/
he video features an individual who would almost certainly name the UK if he were asked about successful gun laws. But the UK’s gun laws are anything but successful. When John Major rammed a near total ban on guns, he did not expect violent crime to increase by a factor of tunes from 3.5 violent crimes per 1,000 population to 29 per 1,000 population. But the international standard for crime reports is in crimes per 100,000 population, and suddenly America’s 390 violent crimes oer 100,000 population looks very safe.
The fact is simple. The gun ban industry pays high dollars for propagandists to erase all mention how violent other countries are, and maximize public apprehension of becoming a victim of violent crime.
Their ultimate goal is to outlaw private gun ownership and erase Americans gun rights: the only Right under the law given us, and the rock to which all our freedoms are anchored.
The chart below, compiled from FBI Uniform Crime Report data, shows what gun control has already done to Pennsylvania, and the United Kingdom’s experience is typical, having driven the violent crime rate from 450 per 100,000 to 2900 per 100,000 population. You can check the data underlying this graph in the annual UCR publications, or you can click on this spreadsheet: http://www.disastercenter.com/crime/pacrime.htm
Clearly, the 350% increase in violent crime between 1963, the last year with only minor calls for gun control and 2015 were a major tragedy for the State of Pennsylvania. It is not time to add more crime producing gun restrictions, but it is time to repeal the laws that have driven Pennsylvania’s violent crime rates “Through the vault of the sky and over the moon.”
