That is commonly a jilted boyfriend, a cracked brain who wants to set a record before he ends his useless life, a grudge against some group of people, plus a “No Guns” placard. The first supplies a reason, the second suggests a place where there can be no effective resistance.

Like the kid who hated Chicanos y Latinos, who stopped by a Wal-Mart for a candy bar – and noticed many unarmed Hispanics in El Paso.

Once a “cause for violence” has triggered a potential killer’s rage, just passing a school with that idiotic sign announcing a gun free zone will set a killer searching for a weapon.

If they do not have the money, they look around for a gun they can steal. Family or friends are the most common victims of an enraged person with murder on their mind, but empty houses with unlocked windows have also provided weapons for a killer.

If there are no guns within a killers reach, they will turn to other weapons. Kitchen knives, or serviceable swords are also popular, but media biases tend to showcase mass shootings. Other weapons have included explosives, which was the weapon of choice in the worst mass murder of school children in our history.

But all it really takes to create a mass murder is something the killer considers a cause for killing – and a “gun free zone” placard.
